Eight Bengals Sign Scholarship Offers

BLYTHEWOOD  —  Blythewood High School recognized eight members of the Class of 2020 as they announced their plans to continue their careers on the collegiate level during the early signing period. Lauryn Coleman, daughter of Marcus and Angel Coleman, announced her signing with the Bethune-Cookman University to continue her volleyball career on the collegiate level.

Baseball Summer Camps Announced

Head Coach Banks Faulkner has announced his youth camps for this summer.  There will be three opportunities for players to attend camps at Blythewood Park.   Camp #1:  Advanced Hitting  (June 11-12) Camp #2:  Defensive Fundamentals  (June 17-18) Camp #3:  Fundamentals & Fun  (June 24-27)   Camps 1 & 2 are $50 each or $80

5A Baseball Championship Tickets On Sale At 9:00 am

Due to enormous response for Friday night’s 5A State Championship Game, the Columbia Fireflies will begin selling tickets at their Box Office Friday at 9 a.m. Avoid ticket lines by stopping by Segra Park tomorrow to purchase tickets early. Tickets are $8, cash only. Gates will open at 6 p.m., one hour before first pitch.

Baseball State Championship Series Set!

The Blythewood Bengals have won the Upper State Championship and will take on the Dutch Fork Silver Foxes in the State Championship Series.  The series is a best-of-three series, with a Game #3 (if necessary) to be played at a neutral site.   Game #1 will be at Blythewood High School on Saturday May 11
