Blythewood stole the lead late and defeated Spring Valley 11-8 on Thursday. The game was tied at eight with Blythewood batting in the top of the seventh when Savannah Coyne singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Spring Valley scored five runs in the sixth inning, but Blythewood still managed to pull out the victory.

Kendall Parker earned the victory on the rubber for Blythewood. She allowed five hits and eight runs over seven innings, striking out two.

Blythewood Bengals Varsity racked up 11 hits on the day. Grace Campbell, Coyne, and Parker each had multiple hits for Blythewood Bengals Varsity. Campbell went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Blythewood Bengals Varsity in hits.

Blythewood returns to action Friday at 7:15 against Spring Valley to secure 2nd place in the region and secure a first round home playoff.
