Blythewood Bengals Varsity Stays Scrappy In Loss To Lugoff-Elgin

Blythewood Bengals Varsity’s effort to come back from down four runs in the third inning came up just short, as they fell 15-14 to Lugoff-Elgin on Wednesday. Blythewood Bengals Varsity scored 11 runs in the failed comeback on a fielder’s choice by Haley McCoy in the third, a single by Anna Fridriksson in the third, a error in the third, a single by Kendall Parker in the fourth, a groundout by Grace Campbell in the fourth, a double by McCoy in the fourth, a error in the fourth, a fielder’s choice by Lauren Hardy in the sixth, and a home run by Emily Babbitt in the sixth.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Blythewood Bengals Varsity tied things up at 11. Hardy hit into a fielder’s choice, scoring one run.
