Girls Varsity Track · Blythewood freshman track athlete finishes 5th place at National Championships

Makeshria Brown (9th grade), Zhanaya Casteal(7th grade), Ashlynn Scott( 8th grade), Arianna William’s (8th grade) and Briana Green (9th grade) all competed at the 2019 New Balance Track and Field High School Nationals in Greensboro, North Carolina. Everyone had a good day.

Briana Green placed 5th place in the freshman long jump becoming a High School freshman all-American with a jump of 18 feet 3 and 3/4 inch, which is also a new Blythewood High School school record.

Makeshria Brown and Zhanaya Casteal competed in the 100 meter hurdles.

Ashlynn Scott competed in the long jump with a new personal record of 15 feet 0 and 3/4 inch and the triple jump.

Arianna Williams competed in the 200m and 400m and will also be apart of the 4x400m (Jordyn Benson, Monica Joy, and Latavia Bracey-Ransom)relay which will be contested on Sunday June 16th.

Day 3 June 15th the 4x100m relay will compete and those athletes are Kayla Ulmer, Briana Green, Latavia Bracey-Ransom and Teauna Thomas.
