Blythewood Bengals JV wins second game of double-header against Spring Valley 4-1.
Blythewood got things started in the first inning when an error allowed the Bengals to score two runs.
Alex Simmons got the win for Blythewood. He went four innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out three and walking one. Zac Cowan threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
James Wilson was on the pitcher’s mound for Spring Valley. He surrendered three runs on one hit over one and one-third innings, striking out two. Quinton Bennett, Connor Beck, and David Stark each contributed in relief for Spring Valley.
Connor Weathers went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Blythewood in hits. While hits were at a premium, Blythewood tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Caleb McCants led the way with two.
