Despite allowing three runs in the second inning, Blythewood Bengals B-Team defeated North Central JV 11-3 on Wednesday. North Central JV’s big inning was driven by walks by Dalton Hackworth and Logan Arrants.
Blythewood opened up scoring in the first inning, when Luke Duncan drew a walk, scoring one run.
Blythewood followed by notching five runs in the second inning. The offensive firepower by the Bengals was led by Harrison Collins, Duncan, and Xavier Cuevas, who all drove in runs.
Jeb Britt got the start for Blythewood, allowing one hit and three runs over one and one-third innings.
Cole Thompson toed the rubber for North Central JV. He allowed nine hits and nine runs over five innings. Dylan Smith threw two innings in relief.
Blythewood racked up 12 hits on the day, with Collins and Cuevas each collecting multiple hits. Collins led Blythewood with three hits in five at bats.
Landon Anderson went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead North Central JV in hits.
